Welcome to Heather Cottage, Baddidarroch, Lochinver

Heather Cottage is a delightful two bedroom traditional stone-built croft cottage, circa 1890, which has been fully modernised and extended to the highest standard including double glazing and central heating. Situated in Baddidarroch, Lochinver with its own very private and secluded fenced-off garden covering an eighth of an acre. Access to the cottage is provided by its own exclusive double car park, leading to the path to the garden gate.

Entrance Porch

To allow those walking boots to be discarded and rucksacks to be hung up.

Open plan kitchen/dining/living room

This is to the front of the cottage, all the windows you can see from the front picture. There is a side window also for additional view and sunlight.

Living Room

The focal point of this room is the beautiful wood burning stove. It generates enough heat from wood to heat the whole cottage easily. There is a beautiful cream leather suite which is very comfortable with lots of big cushions. A TV, video and DVD player are set up. There is a music system also. In the cupboard area there is a large selection of DVD’s , videos, children’s games , paper and colouring pencils, books , magazines, ironing board, two fold down single beds, vacuum cleaner and picnic basket. A Highland stoneware lamp and beautiful pictures set the relaxing scene in this room. Sit back and enjoy watching all the boats coming and going from Lochinver pier, as well as the views of Suilven, Cul Mor and Cul Beag.

Kitchen

This is a very well equipped room with cooker, fridge, washing machine, microwave oven, coffee maker, Highland stoneware cups, full crockery, glassware etc. We have equipped the cottage to the highest standard and to provide guests a real home from home Highland experience.

Dining Area

This has a table and 4 chairs set up overlooking the front garden of the cottage and the Lochinver pier and Suilven. You have placemats, lovely glasses and unique crockery for you to enjoy your meals with the view.

The original croft is to the back of the house where there are now two bedrooms and a bathroom.

Bathroom

A lovely, clean all white bathroom suite with powerful electric shower. All towels, soaps and shower gel are provided.

Double Bedroom

A double bedroom with a wardrobe to allow for cases and clothes. There is a chest of drawers, TV and DVD player for your enjoyment. All new linen with extra throws and electric under blankets for the winter months. There are bedside drawers and lights for bedtime reading.

Twin Bedroom

This room has twin beds in it with a bedside cabinet between them. There is a chest of drawers with a TV and DVD on it. There is also a cupboard for you to leave your cases and clothes. All new linen with extra throws and electric under blankets for the winter months are provided.
