Heather Cottage Comments

Some comments from our very satisfied customers!

Well, another lovely holiday here. So pleased we came back. It’s so relaxing and we’ve enjoyed every minute. Have enjoyed seeing the local deer on many nights, and the birds, but the best bit for me (Sue) has to be the coming and going of the fishing boats. We’ve found out where to buy the fish this year, and have loved eating it so fresh. We’re taking lots home. Yuschi (our dog) and Nemo (our cat), have also enjoyed another holiday here, so Thanks Colin & Heather for such wonderful memories. It was lovely to meet you and your family. So friendly and obliging. Your Heather Cottage is a credit to you. The alterations are great but most of al, it’s so well equipped. Thanks again.

Great time, the log burner stove was much appreciated! Matt enjoyed going in the sea at Clachtoll (for 15 minutes in his wet suit)- great waves! Dad enjoyed it too! Alex thought the beaches were great especially Clachtoll. Great walks, beautiful scenery and a lovely comfortable cottage.

What a wonderful cottage- booked by the internet so you never know- but Heather Cottage has exceeded all expectations! So has Lochinver and this fantastic area. Why celebrate Hogmanay any where else? Will be back! If only to improve on fire lighting skills…it works a treat for men needing to brush up on their masculinity!

Have enjoyed our stay , despite the changeable weather. Found the cottage very comfy, super views, love the logburning stove! Hydrponicum Garden at Achiltibuie was very interesting and the Lily Pond Café was superb! Sandwood Bay was awesome! Despite the 5 mile mind numbing trudge to get there. Lots of nice shorter walks, dogs loved it! Achmelvich beach really nice. Enjoyed the wine and biscuits. Many thanks

Could not have wished for 2 weeks of better weather, have not used the waterproofs in anger. Cottage is one of the best equipped we have come across, up to National Trust in England standard. The arrival of the potato masher and wooden utensils a help. The view from the cottage is wonderful and the comings, goings and antics of the fishermen in evenings far better entertainment than TV. 50p Assynt walk is a good guide to local walks and paths easy to follow. Thanks to Colin & Heather for a wonderful holiday.

So little time – so much to do. Highlights included Quinag, Canisp and Conival. Sadly Suilven remains unconquered. Great cottage.

What a lovely cosy cottage perfect for the relaxing break we all needed! Thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful scenery, especially Achnahaird beach – stunning! Niamh(3) loved “Bambi” spotting and the many waterfalls on our travels. We’ll be back! Thank You.

A great relaxing return to Sutherland. We all made it up Stac Pollaidh on the hottest day and really enjoyed the open day at the pottery. Thank You for your hospitality and company.

The Gordon Family – Glasgow

It’s difficult to leave the view of Suilven, the peace and quiet and a lovely cottage – we’ve needed the dry up room behind the cottage! But also enjoyed the Sun on Stac Pollaidh and the beaches – we hope we’ll be back soon.

The Stradling family – Cheshire

A wonderful week that past far too quickly, this is a lovely area – I will be back again. Cottage was very comfy, views just great. The birds were great entertainment – they really get through the seeds (available at the local shop). Some looked too fat to fly! I wish I could stay for another week.
