Grantown on Spey is an idyllic setting especially for those wishing to get away from the hustle and bustle to sample the peace and tranquillity of the highlands.

Clanranald is a real home from home which can accommodate 6/7 people and is fully fitted out for your comfort and enjoyment. We use the house ourselves, when we can, and we hope that we have the house set up in a way that we would like when coming to a 4 star accommodation in the Scottish Highlands. We have high standards and hope that this is reflected in Clanranald

Accommodation

Living Room

The focal point of the room has an open coal fire. A terrific way to relax and unwind after a day out in the beautiful Speyside country. There is a beautiful brown leather suite and fittings purchased from the local “Beale and Piper”.

For your enjoyment, there is a colour television, DVD, video recorder and CD system. There is a large collection of books, DVDs and CDs which you are welcome to use at your pleasure. There is also a large selection of games, coloring pencils and paper for the children.

Open plan kitchen/dining

A fabulous bright sunny room which is terrific for entertaining or just relaxing with the children. There is a back door to the garden, great for young children to play sefely. The facilities here include dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, fridge, freezer, cooker. We have provided a full set up of crockery, linen, all cooking utensils, glassware etc. Once again we have the house fully kitted out as we would expect when we stay. We want our guests to feel they are home from home and not to worry about forgetting anything. The photographs will show how comfortable this room is.

Storage Cupboard

Under the stairs you will find a place for boots, rucksacks, ironing board, iron etc

The Rear Garden

Clanranald’s rear garden is south facing which means in the long days of summer it is the ideal sun trap. There is a patio area with table, chairs and barbecue. There is a shed which houses the BBQ, wood store and extra outdoor seating. This would allow for storage of skis, fishing rods, baby buggy etc. The garden is fully enclosed with a little grassed area for your enjoyment.

Upstairs leads to the three bedrooms, bathroom and large storage cupboard

Storage cupboard

This cupboard has the high chair and a picnic basket for your use. You will also find a set of French Boules, which is a great way to spend an evening with a glass of wine out in the garden.

Bathroom

Fully fitted and equipped with towels, shower gel and soaps.

A powerful electric shower is there for your convenience and works a treat to freshen you up after a long day out in the country.

Double Bedroom 1

Beautiful, sunny bedroom which faces the rear garden. A very quiet house to ensure a good night’s sleep. There is a double bed, electric under blankets for the winter and a large cupboard to store cases and clothes. There is a TV and DVD player installed in the bedroom for your comfort. This bedroom can easily accommodate a cot or the extra fold down single bed settee. There is a chest of drawers beside the bed and in the bedroom, with lights for reading.

Double Bedroom 2

A lovely fitted bedroom at the front of the house. All linen is provided as well as electric under blanket for the winter months. There is a TV and DVD player for your pleasure fitted in the room. There is substantial storage for your cases and clothes. This bedroom can easily accommodate a cot or the extra fold down single bed. This bedroom can easily accommodate a cot or the extra fold down single bed settee.

Bunk Bedroom

This bedroom is to the front of the house. It has bunk beds in it, a large storage cupboard, chest of drawers, TV and DVD player, single bed settee. The cupboard has the cot, cot linen and children’s toys and books in it. There are overhead lights above the beds to allow for bedtime reading.
